WND.com: Texas Prepares for Going it Alone

February 16, 2013 by tjefferson2076

This article from World Net Daily.com illustrates legislation that should spread like wildfire to all the fiscally responsible states in our nation.  The proposed legislation  “would have Texas review how it would respond should the U.S. government no longer be there to send federal tax revenue back to the state.”

The Article continues:

The proposal would set up a committee to study what the state gets from Washington, “the effects on the state budget if federal fiscal policy necessitates a significant reduction in or elimination of federal funding” and “a plan to address the loss of federal money.”

The plan, HB 568, has been introduced by Rep. James White, who said in a statement Texas Self-Sufficiency Act “creates a select committee to evaluate the effects of a possible reduction in or elimination of federal funding on the state budget due to federal fiscal policy.”

“Due to the fiscal dysfunction of Washington, D.C., and the fact that more than a third of our state’s budget revenue comes from the federal government, Texas needs to study what it would mean if the federal government couldn’t meet its obligations,” he said.

First of all, this article just points out common sense.  The US Government is nearing fiscal collapse.  There is no way to pay the current obligations or even the debt that we have racked up.  Our nation is broke.  The bottom line is that this is a brilliant piece of legislation that all  Freedom loving Americans should demand that their states implement ASAP.

Second, this article inadvertently points out that even Texas is dependent on the federal government for a large percentage of its state budget.  Americans need to wake up that all the federal government does is take taxes from the individual, send it to Washington, divide it between special interests, and then send the remains back to our states in order to control our state policies.  Wouldn’t it be better to cut out the middle men (Washington and special interests) and just send it to our state governments?  We would have more control over the money and how it is spent.  In other words, we are OCCUPIED BY WASHINGTON DC.  It is occupation by the worthless printed paper money from Washington.  Stand up, and get yourself and your states freedom from this occupation.  That is what the founding fathers intended with the 10th Amendment: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
